Yesterday, I signed a contract with Elk Lake Publishing to publish the second Weldon novel, Every Day is Filled with Hope.
Just for fun, I created a mock cover for the book. Of course, the publisher’s graphic designer will create something professional, but I like to play with the cover ideas to communicate my vision. Do you prefer covers with people or nature? Perhaps, it will help to see a bit about the book.
Two decades ago, former runway model Casey Bledsoe was assaulted by a powerful and influential man, which resulted in an unwanted pregnancy. Fear, shame, and ambition influenced Casey’s decision to release her baby for adoption. Regret and worry for her daughter’s safety have been Casey’s constant companion since that fateful day. Hope for healing begins when Casey receives a letter from a stranger, her eighteen-year-old daughter. When Casey discovers there are other victims, she’s torn between stopping the man who haunts her nightmares and shielding her daughter from the stain of the father’s sin. Casey must find the courage to reveal everything or be shackled by guilt forever.
Those who have read Every Window Filled with Light already know Casey as she is Emma Baker’s best friend. Each novel stands alone, but I highly recommend you read them in order.
If you live close to Franklin, KY, I hope you can attend my book signing event for Every Window Filled with Light hosted by Gallery on the Square, 110 N. Main Street, Franklin, KY on Friday, June 25, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. I am so grateful for the community support.

As always, thank you for your support, encouragement, and your Amazon and Goodreads reviews. A friend shared this quote from Mother Teresa earlier this week. “I am a little pencil in God’s hands. He does the thinking. He does the writing. He does everything and sometimes it is really hard because it is a broken pencil and He has to sharpen it a little more.” Her words communicate exactly how I feel as I read your wonderful reviews. Every story I write is meant to entertain readers and to reveal our deep need for a personal relationship with Jesus.
May God bless you and keep you. Please let me know if you have a prayer request.
Warm regards,
Shelia
